[O] viewing attachment directory fails (silently)

Hello all,

I have org-file-apps set to '((auto-mode . emacs)) as I see no reason to
ever leave Emacs... However, when I try to view an attachment directory
(C-c C-a f), the *Messages* buffer says:

Running view /home/ucecesf/s/notes/data/ff/c0d4d0-860f-4e10-8b10-9ff4ac9ad8aa...done

and nothing appears, unsurprisingly as "view" is equivalent to "vim" on
my system :-(

This started happening some time ago now but I haven't had a chance to
pursue this until now.

Can anybody please suggest what I may be doing wrong? I see no
advantage to viewing a directory in anything other than dired!
